There will be clinics specifically designed for all skill levels and aspects of kayaking, taught by experienced and professional kayakers. Slideshow presentations, kayaking games, yoga classes and fine food will also be part of this fun-filled weekend. Individuals, couples, groups and families are all welcome to join us at this relaxing and instructional premier event. Have you always wanted to learn to kayak, but just never knew how to get involved, well this is your chance? After this weekend you will have all the knowledge to confidently purchase the right kayak and equipment, paddle safely on varied water conditions and plan multi-day kayaking expeditions. Located at the 6,000 acre Sharpe Reservation, Camp Mariah will be our base camp for the weekend. On water clinics will be taught on Beaver Lake, a 55-acre crystal clear private lake - all to ourselves. Camp Mariah is a new facility with numerous activity buildings, a grand dining hall and comfortable sleeping quarters. With eighty feet of beach, pristine grounds and picturesque views of the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains, this destination is exceptional. Bunkhouses are included and a limited number of private rooms are available. There is limited space with a 1:8 instructor to student ratio.
